Devil Kings

I learned it from TGFC that, the Devil Kings (released in US) has become a different game. The opening CG has changed, even the battle system has changed. The difficulty has increased a lot.

That sounds interesting. I have jump to Gamefaqs forums to have a look.

DMD - I am getting better and better now.

Mission 10.
When I come to face these spiders, I don't feel panic at all. Though I fall in front of them again and again because I cannot hear the sound in the game - Angela is watch TV in the same room, I have to keep the volume down.

The thing is, I am used to the pace and difficulty in DMD now. I was trying to challenge mission 2 again and again, and all I could get is an "A", but now I can get an "S" on the first try. I have to say, after some practice, I have learned some skills - physically and phycalogically.

Still waiting for the RE4 now. Although I know I will not have enough time to dive into it, I have to own it. Because I have to.

Enjoying surfing

Never have been so relaxed while surfing. Either feel not comfortable in the office, either the speed is not fast enough at home.

I am listening to a Jazz internet radio station and reading some articles. Don't want to play games tonight.

Hooked up with internet from home

Here I go!
After several months of installation (or vacation, God knows what they were doing), I finally hooked up with internet in my own apartment!

Just went to DMC3 board and have a look, then went to the GameSpot to read several latest reviews.
Fifa 2006 gets a point of 9.0! Here is the review link from GS:
http://www.gamespot.com/ps2/sports/fifa2006/review.html?sid=6135594
That's incredible, isn't it?

Haven't played a soccer game for days. Maybe I will give it a try?

Played DMC3 last night

After several days rest I found myself in a better shape while playing DMC3 DMD. Played twice Mission 2 and passed without continuing (although with only little health left); Played through Mission 6.

Positive Changes:
a. I have mastered the following combo:
Rebellion combo 2 -> High Time -> Aerial Combo -> Hammer -> Killer Bee -> Taunting
b. DMD is not that scary to me. I am still losing health in DMD, but not losing aura :)

negative Points:
a. I was grabbing the controller too tight that my shoulders and arms aches.
b. Still need to work on some special enemies.

c. Damage control need to be improved.

DMD Mission SS rank videos thread on GameFaqs

I have opened a new thread in GameFaqs DMC3 Board to post and discuss the DMD SS rank video.
http://boards.gamefaqs.com/gfaqs/genmessage.php?board=920607&topic=24008597

Have finished playing the first 5 missions in DMD and I have decided to stop for a while and do some reviews on my own technique.

This is a great video that changed my mind about how to own DMD. This Sword Master and DTE (Devil Trigger Explosion) Master blew off my mind.
Have a look and you will find it very exciting!!

Books and Games

"A truly great book should be read in youth, again in maturity and once more in old age, as a fine building should be seen by morning light, at noon and by moonlight. " - Robertson Davies

Google home page, “Words of the day” section.

A great game is similar. Such as DMC and DMC3. It's not just about replay value. It's about the way to play the game will change and the reward is also changing. Greater challenge must be answered with better skills, more powerful weapons, and of course, it will bring greater experience.

Game or Baby?

Talked with Justin yesterday, and asked if he play games. He said he like SSX on PS2, but it was a long time since last time he played a game. He said ever since his baby was born, he stop playing games.
Don’t know when I will say that :)

Burnout Revenge

Played Burnout Revenge in the morning.
It is a good thing if you do it with a mood of refining your skills. Do not expect too much during one session.

Think what you can get in a 20 minutes playing session: get 2 Gold medal? Get 10 ranking points? Or complete a goal in the track’s score sheet?

My wish list

Devil May Cry Special Edition
Resident Evil 4
Final Fantasy XII
Dragon Quest VIII

These are the games that on my wish list.

For DMC3, I have finished DMD mission 4. This game makes me crazy: I watched DMD SS videos, and then play it myself, again and again. With a special edition featuring Vergil, Dante’s brother, Capcom has made a great decision.

RE4 (aka Biohazard 4) was a great game on NGC. Within 3 weeks, the PS2 version will be released in NA. I will download it for sure!!

Final Fantasy XII is the last great RPG on PS2. It is also a weapon of Sony against Xbox360.

Dragon Quest VIII is a Japanese blockbuster. Now it will make its way to English gaming world.

My current games list

Driving:
Gran Turismo 4
Burnout Revenge

AVG(Sanguo Action Style):
Devil Kings
Dynasty Worriors 5

RPG:
Radiata Stories

Action:
Devil May Cry 3
Devil May Cry
Viewtiful Joe
Viewtiful Joe 2
God of War

AVG:
Jak II
Prince of Persia: Warriors within
Shadow of Rome

Sports:
Winning Eleven 8 International

The highlighted games are the ones I love most. I love playing action games, driving games, and some RPG games as well. I used to play WE a lot, but it has been a long time since last time I played it.

Time for games

Find a good timing for gaming is not easy for me. After a day’s work, when I arrive home, I have to cook and eat first, after which it’s already 9:00 PM. Then, watch a little bit TV, chat with Angie for a while. After that, the ideal subject should be listening to some music, or do some reading (which I have rarely done). If I am in a session of learning something, I have to arrange several evenings doing that.
On weekends, huge block of time should be arranged for travelling, studying, cooking, walking. Though I can spend much time on games, I cannot do it without controlling myself: my neck has got some symptoms because of playing games.

After all, game is in the Quadrant 4, which means it is neither urgent nor important (7 habits of highly efficient people). Spending too much time on it will only turn myself into a pleasure centred person, which is a thing I will not like to see. In this sense, I have to choose carefully which game to play and how long to play it. I need a project plan.

Adults Only

Yesterday I have tried a little bit "adults only" difficulty of Viewtiful Joe.
I could not beat the boss of the first mission.

The game though, is a decent one, I have to say. But as a 2d action game, it is not as attactive to me as DMC.
